How to Add Roundbox to Your Google Workspace

To give me admin access to your Google Workspace so I can help with email setup, user changes, and account management, please follow these steps. The admin user uses Google’s free Cloud Identity license, so no recurring Google charge is added to your Workspace bill.

Not Comfortable Doing This Yourself?

No problem. The alternative is for me to log into your account directly and set things up for you. Two important things if we go that route:

  • Do not send your username and password to me by email or text. Those are not secure ways to share credentials.
  • I will send you a one-time secure share link instead. You enter the credentials there, I view them once, and the link expires. Your password never sits in a message thread or inbox.

Just reply and let me know, and I will send the secure link.

1. Sign in to Your Admin Console

Go to https://admin.google.com and sign in with your super admin account (the original owner account for your Workspace).

2. Add Cloud Identity (Free)

Cloud Identity Free is Google’s no-cost admin tool. It lets me help manage your account without using up a paid email seat.

  • In the left sidebar, click Billing.
  • Click Buy or upgrade.
  • Find Cloud Identity in the list.
  • Click Get Started under the FREE edition (not Premium).
  • Follow the prompts to activate.

3. Create a New Admin User for Me

  • Go to Directory > Users and click Add new user.
  • Name: Trace Carlson
  • Primary email: trace@roundboxcreative.com

Important: When prompted to assign a license, select only Cloud Identity Free. Do NOT assign a paid Google Workspace license, that would add a recurring monthly charge.

4. Give the New User Super Admin Role

  • Open the new user from the user list.
  • Click Admin roles and privileges.
  • Assign Super Admin.

5. Send Me the Temporary Password

Text the temporary password to 509-220-7222. Please do not send it by email.
Once I have it, I’ll sign in, change the password, and set my own recovery options. You can revoke my access at any time from the same Admin Console.

How to Add Roundbox as an Administrator to Your WordPress Website

To give me access so I can help manage, update, and optimize your website, please follow these steps:

1. Log In to Your WordPress Dashboard

Go to your website’s login page, usually:

https://yourwebsite.com/wp-admin

Log in with your current username and password.

2. Open the Users Section

  • In the left-hand menu, click Users.
  • Select Add New.

3. Enter My User Information

Add the following details:

  • Username: trace
  • Email: trace@roundboxcreative.com
  • First Name: Trace
  • Last Name: Carlson

4. Set the Role to Administrator

In the Role dropdown, select:

  • Administrator

5. Send the User Invitation

Click Add New User.

I’ll receive an email to set my password and log in.

If your site is set up not to send emails reliably, you can temporarily set a password for me and share it securely — I can update it once logged in.
